Welcome to Piece Keeper. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website or use our mobile application and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. The Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

• Identity Data: Includes first name, last name, and your unique shop link name (shopSlug).
• Contact Data: Includes email address (used for secure authentication, account recovery, and order notifications).
• Logistics Data: Zip codes and contact handles (e.g., Facebook links) are collected during the "Purchase Request" process to facilitate shipping calculations and communication between buyer and seller. This data is attached to specific orders and is not stored permanently on your public user profile.
• Collection Data: Information about your jigsaw puzzles, including brands, piece counts, locations, and personal notes.
• Image Data: Photos of your puzzles that you upload to our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide the core functionality of Piece Keeper, including:

• Syncing your collection across multiple devices.
• Powering your public gallery page so others can view your "For Sale" puzzles. Note: Anything you list for sale is public and can be viewed by anyone with your gallery link or through search features.
• Allowing buyers to express interest in your puzzles. Privacy Note: When a puzzle is requested, it appears as "Reserved" or "In your list" to other users. We do not display the buyer's identity to the general public.
• Improving our barcode detection features.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on our private servers. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transit and while at rest. Since Piece Keeper is built on a "local-first" philosophy, much of your data is also stored locally on your device for offline use.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use the following third-party services to power Piece Keeper:

• Google Play Billing: Handles all premium subscription payments. We do not store or see your credit card information.
• Google Firebase: Used for secure authentication and delivering push notifications about your collection or buyer requests.
• Google ML Kit: Used for local on-device barcode scanning and text recognition.
• UPC Databases: Used for barcode lookups (only the barcode is shared, not your personal info).

6. Content Moderation & Safety

Piece Keeper has zero tolerance for inappropriate or illegal content. We reserve the right to remove any image or user-generated data that contains:

• Violence, graphic imagery, or illegal substances.
• Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
• Hate speech or harassment.

If you see inappropriate content, please report it immediately to piecekeepersupport+report@gmail.com. We will remove such content and suspend the offending account within 24-48 hours.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to access, export, or delete your data at any time. Piece Keeper provides two ways to delete your information:

Data Retention: Upon account deletion, all puzzle data, images, and profile information are immediately removed from our production servers. Residual data may remain in encrypted off-site backups for up to 30 days before being purged.
